Clarksburg Baseball will be participating in the Washington National’s Youth Baseball day on June 3, 2012. Come join in the festivities and watch the Nationals take on the Braves at 1:35pm.

The Youth Baseball day features:
Parade on the field prior to the game
Signature Sunday autograph session
Kids run the bases following the game

Clarksburg Baseball will be sitting in the Outfield Reserve and tickets are $20 each. Bring your players and your families and have fun at Nats Park!  

Tickets can be purchased online and will be delivered via your team’s coach.

The Spring 2012 baseball season is in full-swing and we wanted to remind all parents, players, and coaches about some helpful hints in preparation for your practices and games.

If you are looking for directions to a particular field, you can click this page on our website to get a list of fields each linked to a map.

Is your practice or game cancelled because of rain?  Check with your coaches, but you can also check with the county with its field hotline.  Our rainout information can be found here.

We hope everyone has a safe and fun baseball season!

Pictures will be taken at the pavilions next to the playground starting at 7:30am. Please arrive 15 minutes early for your time slot with your player(s) in full uniform.

If you wish, you can fill out an Picture Order Form ahead of time, but this is not necessary. We will have plenty of copies available at the Pavilion tomorrow.

Families will have two options for ordering pictures: “Order Now” or “Wait to See Proofs”:

- If you want to Order Now, fill out the entire form, check the appropriate box at the bottom of the form, and enclose your check, money order, or exact change cash with the Order Form when your child’s individual picture is taken.The photos will be given to your coach and then delivered to you at an upcoming practice or game. This is the fastest way to get your photos.

- If you wish to Wait to See Proofs, fill out the contact information at the top of the form only and check the appropriate box at the bottom of the form. The same order form will be returned to you with proofs by April 28th. You will need to complete the order form and send it back with payment by May 5thin order to receive your photos by the end of the season.

PICTURE SCHEDULE:

Clarksburg Baseball is proud to announce that we will have plenty of action and activities for this Saturday’s (April 14th) opening day.  Players and Parents be aware that your coaches have their respective photo and game schedules for Saturday and will be letting you know the details.

Team and Individual Pictures: This will be held near the shelters / playground at Ovid Hazen Wells Park (just up the hill from Field #2 and Field #3).

Opening Ceremonies/Festivities: In celebration of our our 5th year of baseball, we will be having a special opening ceremonies that starts at 11:30am at Ovid Hazen Wells Field #2.  There will be plenty of food, music and the opportunity to meet the Orioles Mascot. 

We will also be have a special first pitch during our ceremonies.  Jeffrey Ross, supported by his wife Tricia, and kids Lindie, Kailie, Gavin, and Taryn will be present to throw out the first pitch.

Jeff entered the Navy in 1998 after graduating from Ferrum College with a degree in Sports Medicine.  At Ferrum, he played baseball and worked as a student athletic trainer.

In return, Modell’s will give Clarksburg Baseball a donation equal to 5% of the total sales during this team weeks program.

Clarksburg Baseball is selling Double Shredded Hardwood Mulch for $5.00 per bag DELIVERED (minimum 10 bags) to your home or $4.00 available for pick-up at Clarksburg High School parking lot. Delivery and pick-up is available on Saturday, March 31^st.

 The Double Shredded Hardwood Mulch for delivery is available in brown and the bags are 3 cubic feet.

 The CBI Mulch Sale is a major fundraiser for Clarksburg Baseball and can be a time saver for you, your friends, relatives and neighbors.  By ordering CBI Mulch for your garden and landscaping needs, you also helping many kids that play baseball and softball in Clarksburg. So, why not sit back and relax and let us do the loading, unloading and hauling of the mulch for your yard and make some extra money for our baseball teams at the same time.  All proceeds benefit Clarksburg Baseball Inc. We are a 501(c)3 and $2.00 per bag is tax deductible.

We wanted to let all our Spring 2012 players and parents know that rosters and practice dates and locations will be announced and disseminated on March 21st during our Coaches Meeting.  Players and Coaches will receive emails that night from the league to confirm everything.

Opening Day is scheduled for April 14th at Ovid Hazen Wells Park!  More details to follow.

Please make sure your player is registered by March 18th to avoid a $10 late fee.

Registration for the Spring 2012 recreation baseball and softball season is now open.  Please click on the link “Online Registrations” to sign your player up!  Practices will begin sometime in March with opening day festivities in April!
