Winter Workouts 2012

Registration for Winter Workouts closes this Monday, January 2, 2012. For insurance purposes, the facility needs a final list of the participants by Monday so we can start the sessions on Sunday, January 8th.

Instead of the original location off Gaither Road, the location for the workouts has been changed to the Gaithersburg Airpark: 8340 Beechcraft Avenue Suite E. The time has not changed: sessions will run from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings.

The winter program will mainly be focusing on hitting. We will also be working with those kids that would like to become pitchers and catchers.

The workout program will run for 10 Sundays. Cost for the program is $125 per player.

To participate, please register on the Clarksburg Baseball website by this Monday, January 2nd.. For payment, families have the option of either paying via credit card on the website or bringing a check to the first session

Step Up To The Plate And Pitch In Moved to 11/5

Our league sponsors Skylark Rd through the County’s adopt-a-road program, has been moved to Saturday Nov 5th at 11 a.m. will be our first ever trash collection effort. It will take place no matter what the weather! Three teams will start at various points on Skylark Road and pick up trash for approximately a ½ mile stretch of road. Those coaches directly responsible for trash collection will know who they are and inform their players/parents. This clean up serves as evidence that our organization actually does make an effort to keep Skylark Rd litter free, and entitles us to have our organization name posted on both ends of Skylark Road for a little “free advertising”.

We would like to encourage others associated with Clarksburg Baseball and Softball to come out as well. Your presence certainly supports our effort to keep the league prominently featured in the Clarksburg/Germantown community. To demonstrate your support you can:

(1)walk with any of the 3 assigned teams, or

(2)Stand at the beginning or end of our 3 coverage areas and just thank everyone for volunteering. The 4 ideal spots to stand are Skylark Rd and Piedmont Rd at 11 or Skylark Rd and Inkberry Drive at 11. You can also be at the 2 finish lines around 11:15 which are Skylark Rd and Sycamore Farms Rd or Skylark Rd and Ridge Road(route 27)

Players should be wearing their jersey or full uniform if they have a game that day, and each group will spend about 30 minutes from start to finish, Thank you so much for participating or supporting this effort!!!
